SL Creations (SLC) has been offering its stock-type frozen meal service for offices, “Office Premium Frozen,” since 2017. As of October 2025, the number of contracts surpassed 3,000. The service has gained popularity for its convenience—companies only need to install a refrigerator and microwave, and employees can purchase a wide variety of meals, such as fried rice and grilled fish, for 100 to 200 yen each.
The number of contracts has grown rapidly: 585 by the end of 2022, 1,155 by the end of 2023, 1,919 by the end of 2024, and 3,044 as of October this year.
By paying a monthly system fee, companies can have SLC’s sales staff handle product restocking and maintenance. The service has been highly rated as a way to enhance employee welfare and improve workplace food environments.
The meal options include about 100 items at all times, covering main dishes, side dishes, staple foods, and noodle-based dishes. Employees can simply take their preferred item from the freezer at any time, plate it, and heat it in the microwave to enjoy a meal.
According to feedback from client companies, “There are few restaurants nearby, and long lines form at convenience stores, so it used to take time just to have a meal. Since introducing this service, meal times have become much shorter.”
Alongside the service itself, the company also supports initiatives for “health management.” Through nutritional education seminars and satisfaction surveys to identify issues, SLC provides assistance to help safeguard employee health.
