S&B Foods has begun construction of a new factory in Thailand through its local subsidiary, S&B Foods (Thailand), in order to strengthen its overseas production system.
The building is scheduled for completion in November 2026, with operations to begin in the second half of fiscal 2027.
The company has positioned the reinforcement of its overseas business as a key strategy and set a long-term theme of “overseas sales ratio exceeding 40% by 2043.” In particular, for the Southeast Asia and Oceania regions, it is prioritizing initiatives there, as not only is continued economic growth expected, but interest in Japanese food is also high.
To further increase the penetration of the “S&B” brand and strengthen its business in these regions, S&B Foods established the local subsidiary S&B Foods (Thailand) in February 2025 as a production base. With the start of operations at the new factory, the company will work to strengthen its supply chain, improve efficiency in production and logistics, and enhance competitiveness, aiming to ensure a stable supply and increased volume of its products in the region, while promoting the spread of Japanese-style curry.
The new factory will be located in Chonburi Province, Thailand. The site area will be 12,992 m², with a total floor area of 5,536 m², and the structure will be a three-story building (reinforced concrete, partially steel frame). It will produce instant curry products and other items compatible with halal certification.
In constructing the new factory, S&B Foods is working in cooperation with the construction contractor, Thai Toda Construction, to cover all construction electricity use (approximately 200 MWh) with power derived from renewable energy. By introducing clean energy from the construction stage, the company is promoting the establishment of a sustainable production system.
