Yakult Honsha has established the “Yakult European R&D Center B.V.” at Wageningen Campus in Gelderland, the Netherlands, as a global research and development hub. The date of establishment is September 19, 2025, with capital of €3.66 million. Yakult Honsha is the sole shareholder, and the entity is unlisted.
The campus has developed centered around Wageningen University, internationally renowned in life science. The new center, located within a corporate tenant building, will serve as a hub for food innovation in response to regulations and consumer needs in various countries.
Yakult currently offers products in 40 countries and regions including Japan, and the new center will not only focus on product development but will also pursue research into creating new value to drive future business growth.
