Yakult Honsha has announced that Yakult Europe, its European headquarters based in Almere, the Netherlands, has established an Austrian branch. The branch was founded on August 7. At the same time, Yakult Europe absorbed Yakult Austria, a wholly owned subsidiary, effective October 1.
Through this restructuring, the company aims to improve operational efficiency in its European business and strengthen the sales structure for the Austrian market by leveraging management resources within the group. The Austrian branch, headquartered in Vienna, will carry out in-store sales activities at supermarkets and other outlets throughout the country.
Yakult Europe was established in 1996, has a capital of approximately €30.27 million, employs 120 people (as of the end of 2024), and the group’s average daily sales volume is 661,000 bottles.
Yakult Austria, which was absorbed, was established in 2005, had two employees, and an average daily sales volume of 11,000 bottles.
