NISSIN FOOD PRODUCTS has expanded the production capacity of its popular “Nissin Curry Meshi” series by nearly doubling it with the addition of a new manufacturing line at its Shiga factory in Ritto City, Shiga Prefecture, which began operating in June. The company says it now has an annual supply capacity worth approximately 30 billion yen (based on market price).
Launched in 2014, the “Nissin Curry Meshi” series became a major hit thanks to its easy preparation—just add hot water and wait five minutes—and its wide variety of delicious flavors. Annual sales surpassed 15 billion yen in fiscal 2024 and are expected to hit 20 billion yen this fiscal year. Anticipating continued growth in demand, The company decided to install the new production line at the Shiga factory, joining its existing facilities in Shizuoka and Shimonoseki. The factory produces cup rice products, including “Nissin Curry Meshi” and “Bukkomi Meshi.”
