Enjoy the Atmosphere of a Bar Even During Pregnancy: “Ninpu Bar” Opens in Kobe, Serving Iron-Fortified Baby Cheese as a Snack

From December 6 to 24, on weekends and certain other days for a total of 13 days, Rokko Butter is opening “Ninpu Bar,” a bar for pregnant women, for a limited period at “MOCKTERIA,” a bar near Sannomiya Station in Kobe, during the hours before its regular business opens.

This is the first time in one year and nine months that Ninpu Bar has been held, and the fifth time it has been held over the past little more than three years.

Ninpu Bar is organized with the aim of allowing pregnant women, who ordinarily cannot drink alcohol, to casually enjoy the atmosphere of a bar. This time, it offers four original mocktails and two types of snacks made with “QBB Cheese DE Tetsubun Baby Cheese,” which contains folate, one of the nutrients important for pregnant women, as well as the popular “QBB Cheese Dessert 6P.” All of them were developed by the owner-chef of the bar.

The original mocktails use seasonal fruits and other ingredients, including “Strawberry Shiro-an-san Sweet” (1,700 yen including tax), characterized by the smoothness of white bean paste and the fresh tartness of strawberries. For snacks, reflecting comments gathered through roundtable discussions and surveys with pregnant women that “fried foods are something we crave,” the bar serves “Baby Pizza” made with Cheese DE Tetsubun, and “Honey Pizza” made with Cheese Dessert 6P Madagascar Vanilla.

All event dates are in December, for a total of 13 days: December 6–9, 13–16, and 20–24. The event is held in two sessions, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The address is 1F Golden Kaikan Building, 1-2-7 Nakayamatedori, Chuo-ku, Kobe.
