Nissui Group’s New U.S. Plant Begins Operations – Major Seafood Frozen Foods Company Gorton’s

Gorton’s, a U.S.-based company under the Nissui Group, has begun operations at its newly constructed Lebanon Plant in Indiana in mid-September.

The company holds the leading market share in the U.S. frozen prepared seafood category for household use, centering on fried whitefish products made with Alaska pollock. With the new plant, Gorton’s aims to expand its production capacity to meet strong local demand.

Gorton’s is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nissui USA. The new plant focuses on producing value-added products and optimizing production lines, while also enhancing flexibility in the supply chain. The company collaborated with its logistics partner, U.S. Cold Storage, during the plant’s construction. The amount of investment has not been disclosed.
