On November 25, Royal Holdings announced the renewal opening of “Richmond Hotel Nagoya Nayabashi” (1-2-7 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya) alongside the new opening of “Royal Host Nagoya Nayabashi” on the hotel’s first floor.
The hotel underwent renovations to accommodate not only traditional business demand but also leisure and family needs, reflecting changes in customer requirements. Royal Host will offer a breakfast buffet — the first of its kind in the Tokai area — further enhancing the value of the stay experience for hotel guests through food.
“Royal Host Nagoya Nayabashi” has a floor area of 205 m² with 62 seats. Operating hours are 11:00 to 21:00, with the breakfast buffet served from 6:30 to 10:00. Prices (tax included) for hotel guests are 2,500 yen for adults, 1,200 yen for children (ages 6–12), and free for preschool-aged children. For general customers, adult pricing is the same, while children ages 3–12 are 1,200 yen and children under 3 are free.

The breakfast buffet lineup features more than 40 items. In addition to standard menu offerings, local specialties include unagi rice, doteni (offal simmered in miso and sweet sake), miso katsu, tebasaki (fried chicken wings), and kishimen noodles, as well as made-to-order live items designed to create a sense of excitement — ogura toast, omelets, and pancakes.
Ahead of the opening, a media preview was held on November 21. Kohei Motoyama, Executive Officer of Royal HD in charge of the hotel business and President of RNT Hotels, explained: “Nagoya Nayabashi has adopted a new concept of being ‘an exceptionally refined and comfortable space,’ designed to meet the growing needs of inbound visitors in recent years as well as domestic leisure guests, seniors, and families. Royal Host has also been configured in a hotel-specific style with a permanent buffet lane. This synergy with the hotel is something only the Royal Group could achieve.” He also expressed enthusiasm for expanding the local specialty menu going forward.
Kunihiro Kawakatsu, President of Royal Food Service, commented on the future development of the restaurant business: “I believe Aichi Prefecture and the Tokai area represent very high demand. We want to push forward aggressively with new openings. Whether it’s Royal Host, Tenya, Sizzler, or Shakey’s, I’m confident that any of our brands would be well received by customers.”
