Kokubu Group Corp. held an event in Tokyo on November 17 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the California wine “DeLoach Vineyards,” which the company handles, and the 25th anniversary of its partnership with Boisset, the company that develops the brand.
Boisset was founded in Burgundy, France, in 1961. Centered on that region and on California in the United States, it is a global wine company that owns many historic wineries. With the values of “family” and deep respect for terroir at its core, it is an industry-leading presence that practices sustainability, including early adoption of organic and biodynamic farming methods.
Jean-Charles Boisset, President of Boisset, who attended the event, offered the following greeting: “It is a great honor that wines from many wineries representing France are being delivered to Japan through the Kokubu Group. (Our two companies’ efforts are) a history underpinned by deep trust as family, and I am pleased that over a long period we have built such a wonderful partnership.”
Akira Kokubu, President of Kokubu Group Corp. stated: “Boisset’s product strength and its vision of making the individuality of wines shine, combined with our strong network and trust as a wholesaler, is what has made a partnership of such length possible.”
He continued, “This strong relationship is our greatest pride and an important asset for the future. Over the next 25 years and beyond, we want to strengthen the partnership even further and create new encounters with wonderful wines and the excitement they bring.”
